Synodality invites us to walk together through listening, prayerful discernment, and shared responsibility for our mission. Parishioners are being asked to reflect on our journey and share their views with the Diocesan Team. Parish Meetings Come and take part in the conversation. All are invited. Tuesday 1st Sept . After Mass and 7-9pm at SH Church Hall. Saturday 5th Sept 2.30pm at SPH Church Hall. Discussion themes … How are we living synodality in our Diocese and parish? How do I contribute to the life and mission of the parish? How well do we listen, welcome others & discern together? How can we grow further as a synodal Church? What steps can we take to help our parish achieve this vision?
Children in Year 4 and above are invited to join the First Holy Communion programme beginning in January at St Margaret Mary Parish, Park Gate. Sessions run on Saturdays from 10 - 11am for 20 weeks. Contact the Parish Office for an application form (available soon) Closing date for application is Sunday 27 September.
“LIVING STONES” PARISH PARTY (1 Pt 2:4-5) St Philip Howard Hall. Sat 17th Oct. 12.30pm – 3pm As Christ is the Living Stone chosen by God, so we too are called to be built together into a spiritual house, this will be an opportunity to thank all those who contribute to parish life in many ways. Everyone is warmly welcome to join us for food, fellowship, and a free raffle. More information in the next newsletter.

This year marks the 800th anniversary of the life and spiritual legacy of St Francis of Assisi. Our Parish hosts the Solent OFS, a Franciscan community centred on prayer, simplicity, fraternity and service. Members from across the south coast meet at Sacred Heart or St Philip Howard every third Saturday for prayer, formation and fellowship.
