This Family Fast Day, we’re thinking about real hunger - not skipping a meal, but having nothing to eat at all. Across the world, drought and floods are destroying crops, leaving families without food. But there is hope.

With your support, CAFOD’s local experts are helping families adapt. In South Sudan and Bangladesh, floating gardens rise above floodwaters so families can grow food.

In Zimbabwe, Fast Day donations funded a solar-powered pump and drought-resistant eco-garden, turning dry land ferƟle. Shorai says, “A good neighbour is someone who helps in times of need.” This Lent, be that neighbour. Eat simply. Give generously. Help a family put food on the table.
