In St John’s Gospel Jesus invites Andrew and John to “Come and See”. They were strangers, yet He offered them welcome and belonging.
Our parish has four teams of Welcomers who offer ‘welcome’ at each Sunday Mass to all parishioners and especially visitors to our churches – strangers, and those who might be returning to church. The aim is to create a place where all feel invited and all feel they are recognised and belong. Our welcomers help to make our church a loving community through a simple smile and a brief chat before and after Mass.
Anybody can be a good Welcomer.
